![]() ![]() Had USPS known the package would not arrive, “why sell a service they knowingly could not provide ?” Todays date is December 17th and still the package has not been delivered. Tracking updates have been sketchy and no one has been able to tell me if the package has left South Carolina, arrived at a distribution center in Texas or is somewhere in between. What Does the In Transit Arriving Late Tracking Update Mean As we highlighted a moment ago, getting the In Transit Arriving Late tracking update simply means that your USPS package has been delayed somewhere along its journey and isn't going to be delivered on time. There are “loop holes” in USPS’s refund policy in the event of a failed 2 day delivery and two of them are in lieu of situations beyond their control and “an act of God” So things such as the volume of packages received due to the holidays and the COVID19 waive your rights to a refund. In other words, I paid $235 for a package that I may as well have sent Priority Mail for $20. yesterday - 6 days after the label was created.I would like to believe that for $235, my Express Mail Package is still going to receive some sort of VIP delivery though eight days later I am still twiddling my thumbs in South Carolina, wondering “when” if ever I will receive a current tracking update. That's when she told me she didn't actually ship it until 3 days after creating the label. I waited 5 days before contacting the seller about the package not being scanned as accepted. I refunded the buyer for the priority shipping because he didn't get what he paid for.īTW, I did give the tracking on the package I'm waiting for time to update. But then, miraculously, they scanned as accepted at that post office about 7 hours later. I called my post office and they claimed to not know where the packages were. In the second case, a buyer contacted me a week after I shipped because there was no acceptance scan and he paid for priority shipping. I was lucky the customer was willing to wait, because I really didn't want to send out a second package with no guarantee the same thing wasn't going to only time it's happened to me was either when a seller delayed shipping after printing the label (as in this case) or the post office held on to the packages after receiving them (which happened with 3 of my outgoing packages that were picked up on the same day). And then I only found out because the customer told me! USPS hadn't even bothered with a delivery scan. But it went out for delivery in her town for an entire week, every day saying it was going to be delivered by the end of that day, before it was finally delivered. I was ready to send another product but the customer was okay waiting once the pkg started moving again. So I put in a search for missing package on USPS' website, with the tracking number, and two days later it started moving again, but USPS never contacted me or communicated in any way, and they were supposed to contact me within 24 hours as per their website instructions. 18 and customer reached out after 3 weeks!! And it hadn't even made it out of Minnesota. I had this same message, "in transit, arriving late" on a first class package going to Georgia from MInnesota, and it's so frustrating because it's so vague! Mine was shipped Oct.
